She has been taking riding lessons for quite some time now, and I feel like it’s time to get her a pair of beautiful sterling silver horseshoe posts. I can’t wait to see her face when she opens them up on Christmas morning! She is an interesting combination of tomboy and lady- which really suits me. (I was sort of like that as a girl myself.)

I was prowling around on this site for a while, late at night when I woke up my husband in the next room by shrieking “Joe, I found some affordable sterling silver earrings with animal designs!” He’s used to this sort of thing, lucky for me. “Great, Angela. I’m going back to sleep now.” I don’t think he ever really woke up, if you ask me. But I stayed on this site for quite a while and found some other great gift ideas for other family members. Maybe I didn’t get a lot of sleep that night, but I did get my holiday shopping done!

That elongated shape is an easy one to make recognizable, but one collection of these ubiquitous dogs really got my attention. They’re all done by an artist who really captured not only the look, but the personality of these scrappy little dogs. Maybe she owns one, I wouldn’t know for sure; but she has made 29 different versions of it! Each one has the perfect dachshund personality. One of my favorite dachshund color variations is the black and tan; I was thrilled to see such an adorable version of it, painted in epoxy enamel. That particular one comes in a pin, dangle earrings, necklace and post earrings.

Now that dog breed jewelryis so popular, it’s really pretty easy to find different versions of lots of different breeds. It still might be a little tough finding something like a shar-pei or a malamute, but if you are a dog owner and have one of the more common breeds, you might want to take a look at this site.
